Then 255/70/18 has an overall diameter of 32 inches. Also your cross section width on the 235 is 9.3 inches then going up to 255 is 10 inches 245/70/16 works out to be 9.6" wide and 29.5" tall. I think thats as big as you can go on a stock WJ. The dial calipers showed a difference in tread from the new one to the used ones with the most tread of .127 and .129". That translates to almost exactly 4/32 of an inch. The new tire is 19/32nds deep and the used ones are 15/32nds deep which puts the tires at 79% tread. Wheeling is a different story however. To be able to wheel 32s u'll need to remove the factory flares and cut along the body spot welds uaprox 12-18" from bottom.
